Korg TM-40 Review
69Korg has never failed to produce another quality product for the music world to use. As it always have been. The product I will be talking about today is Korg TM-40. This is one of the best selling products in terms of tuners and metronomes. I have listed the pros and cons below to help you in deciding to purchase this great product.
Pros
- Two in one function (metronome and tuner in one gadget)
- Metronome has loud beat
- Works well with stringed instruments like cello, violin, guitar
- Precise and accurate tuning
- Has microphone input
- Has mono out
- Has long battery life than other tuners/metronomes
- Tuner and metronome can be used simultaneously
- Can also be used for piano
- Very portable, size is great
- Very understandable screen design and layout
- Works great with tubers
- Has triplets option
- Has clear and larger digital display
- You can set the beat and tempo
- Brings up different styles when you go pass 7 beats
- Can easily be connected to speakers and headphones
- It only shows the pitch you are currently playing among any of the 12 references pitches (this is great for isolated tuning)
- Has foldable supporting leg
- Good for clarinets
- More importantly, price is cheaper compared to other tuners and metronomes
Cons
- Response rate is not adjustable
- Metronomes only allow tempo changes in set increments
- Does not allow you to select the key of instrument
As you can see, there are a lot more pros than cons with Korg TM-40.
Even if this product has cons (which all products have), this one of a kind two-in-one gadget is still preferred by a lot of musicians including me.
